We were having our dinner yesterday and pappa was narrating an incident that happened in school that day.
She mentioned that in school, her teacher had returned her the English spelling note. She had got a full score. She immediately thought about the 1 dollar I had promised for each full score. The next period was tamil class and the teacher started returning the spelling notebooks. While waiting for her note, the following thought popped into her mind – “Kanna, rendu laddu sapida aasaiya”.
Listening to her, we all burst out laughing. Thambi couldn’t get the joke and he innocently told, “Mummy, you shouldn’t eat two laddus right? Only one laddu per day!”
We had a laughing fit which took a long long time to subside.
